This week my project for you is one that is quick, easy and super super cost effective!!!!  This is a gift you can make for anyone in your family - and I mean anyone that loves to keep a little planner in their purse or drawer.   I was in Joanne's the other day and found these 2011 Weekly planners in their $1 section.  Now many of you know that I have a 6 year old but what you might not know is that she is super organized and particular and loves to keep everyone on schedule!  I decided to alter the cover and make it more girly-girl and appropriate for my little organizer.  Now she can schedule swimming, homework, playdates and sleepovers and I might even have her keep track of my schedules - now there's a thought!!!  I am also thinking this is a perfect gift to give her little friends from school.  It did not take long to make and I simply used the supplies I had on hand...

{How To}

 I purchased a 2011 Weekly Planner from the dollar section at Joanne's.  After removing the plastic protective cover I adhered white Full Adesive Craft Paper from Post-it to the front and back covers.  Cut a panel of patterned paper to fit the front of your planner.  Embellish patterned paper with inked die cuts, gems and stitching.  Stamp your image on white cardstock and color with copic makers. Trim around the edges and adhere to your front panel with foam squares.  Finish by slipping the covers back into the protective plastic layer.
